i loooove how many different variations of bezz’s name there are and like whenever im talking about him please know there is a very clear distinction in my mind between bezz (neutral), bez (woke nonsense), marco (particularly wet dog looking), and bezzecchi (formal. has perhaps been verbally abusing marc marquez)

While I'm not one for generational conflict cuz there's no war but the class war so to speak, I can't help but think that a "perfect millennial comedy routine" probably oughta consist of a little bit more substance than repackaged "kids use weird slang these days," along with askin to be given some common decency in accounta introducing Facebook and Instagram, plus also bein the boss.

Now folks I may just be a simple country baked salted ham, but it seems ta me that listin off four o the worst things in the world today ain't exactly any generation's idea of empathetic. Ain't a doubt in my mind we're more like than not cross put near three or four decades, jest sayin don't trust too well someone askin you to smile along while they insult ya and tell ya how ta act and they think ya oughta be quiet n grateful for a handful o garbage cuz they invented takin a shit.

I was thinking about why Carry On works for me when typically I like minimal exposition! I like being dropped into a story and figuring it out as we go along. Some of my favorite books are like that. And a lot of Carry On is spent on the past, musing over memory & history. I think it works for me because it feels very grounded in the Simon’s personality and emotional experience. He truly doesn’t believe he has a future… so of course he treads over the past.

That’s part of why it works for me: it feels emotionally honest.

In the story, this backwards focus serves several purposes: it orients us at the end of the heroes journey (think of your life flashing before your eyes before you die) and it builds up the color and weight of Watford & by extension the world of magic. It suspends us in Watford’s history & Simon’s longing. Which I think creates a nice tension w the end, we’ve spent the book thinking about Simon’s story and what it means for him that he has lived this life and how it seems totally at odds with a future. And we know that he loves magic, we feel it viscerally in his descriptions. And then he loses a heroic end AND a life with magic. He gains a future but it’s not any kind of future he might have imagined. This then carries us into the next books where things are so radically different, which for all their sadness feel more hopeful than Carry On lol

I absolutely adored the pose and the background on this one, and the face is absolutely perfect honestly! I love the ears, they look so soft, and the green has now been incorporated into a canon color morph for me (with permission <3) I loved that touch sooo much. The heart locket too!! Ough there's just so much good about this i adore it so much <3

The coloring of this oughghgh.... i am in love with it, it's so soft and cozy and textured- i feel like if i could touch this piece of art it would be soft like fabric and warm in a comforting way. Just the absolute best feeling. The colors and lighting are so pretty too!!! I love the face and the fluff so very much. The eyes especially are so very pretty!

the TEXTURE of this one is SO so good I am eating it up honestly! The cross hatching scratches my brain in such a good way and the fluff looks SOOO soft. The mouth and nose too.... ough.. truly precious little 83 face
